Inclusive Education: Equality Duty

Recent Delivery Highlight: Alternative Provision in Trafford “Towards Inclusive Education: Embedding the Public Sector Equality Duty”

We were thrilled to deliver a successful PSED training session at an Alternative Education Provision in Trafford, Greater Manchester, alongside the brilliant Professor Christine Callender, Professor of Education Equity and Social Justice at UCL Institute of Education.

The session was specifically designed to meet the unique needs of the staff, many of whom are neurodivergent. It focused on the protected characteristics outlined under the Equality Act and how these can be meaningfully embedded into everyday practice. Through a blend of theory, personal reflection, and practical application, the session created a space for honest, open dialogue.

Feedback from the training included:

“Absolutely great feedback for the training from staff — you and Christine nailed it!”

“It’s all about opening the doors of communication for staff to feel safe enough to have open discussions.”

This training reinforced the importance of creating safe spaces where staff can unpack difficult conversations with compassion, courage, and curiosity. We’re proud of the commitment shown by the team and look forward to supporting more schools on their journey towards truly inclusive education.

Leadership and Management Coaching

Why Leadership & Management Coaching from a Former Headteacher Makes a Difference

Leadership and management coaching is most impactful when delivered by someone who truly understands the pressures, responsibilities, and complexities of school life. An ex-headteacher brings first-hand experience, credibility, and insight that can’t be taught, only lived.

Having navigated the challenges of school leadership, from staff development and safeguarding to curriculum design and community engagement, a former head knows what works in practice, not just in theory. Their coaching is grounded in empathy, strategic thinking, and a deep understanding of school culture.

The impact? Stronger, more confident leaders. Clearer vision and decision-making. A more empowered staff team. Ultimately, a school environment where both staff and students thrive.

In-school Therapeutic Support

In school environments, particularly those supporting pupils with SEND, ASC, or trauma-related needs — it’s vital to have a therapist who offers more than just traditional talking therapy. Many children and young people find it difficult to express themselves through words alone.

A therapist trained in a range of approaches, such as sand and play, movement, art, and music-based therapeutic interventions, can connect with pupils in ways that feel safe, familiar, and accessible. This flexible, trauma-informed approach meets each child where they are, supporting emotional regulation, communication, and meaningful engagement with school life — especially for those who process the world differently.
