Phobias

A phobia isn’t just a fear, it’s a fear that takes over.

Many of my clients come to me feeling frustrated and stuck. They know their fear doesn’t make logical sense, but that doesn’t make it any less real. Whether it’s a fear of flying, spiders, needles, crowds, or something harder to explain, phobias can quietly shape your life and your freedom.

That’s where NLP and other gentle techniques like IEMT (Integral Eye Movement Therapy) come in. We don’t force you to face your fear head-on or relive terrifying moments. Instead, we work together to rewire the emotional response, helping your mind and body feel safe again, often far more quickly than people expect.

By the end of your first session, many clients feel lighter, calmer, and more in control. This could be your first step toward freedom, not just from fear, but toward living fully again.

Simple Phobias

A simple phobia is an intense fear of a specific object, situation, or activity, like flying, spiders, needles, or driving on the motorway. These fears might seem minor to others, but for the person experiencing them, they can feel overwhelming and even life-limiting.

If you’ve been avoiding certain places or situations because of fear, you’re not alone and you don’t have to stay stuck. Many of my clients come to me feeling frustrated and exhausted by how much their phobia controls their choices.

I use gentle, effective techniques such as Trauma Eye Movement Therapy (IEMT) to help remove or significantly reduce your phobia often in just a few sessions. You don’t need to relive distressing memories or talk at length about the fear. Instead, we focus on calming the body’s response, so that your mind begins to register safety where it once felt danger.

Sessions last up to an hour, and I usually recommend two sessions for common phobias like motorway driving, fear of heights, or spiders. You’ll be surprised how much can shift in such a short time and how freeing life can feel on the other side of fear.

Complex Phobias

Complex phobias are more intense and far-reaching than simple fears. They often develop in adulthood and are linked to deep-rooted anxiety around specific situations, like public places, social interaction, or leaving the house. These fears can feel overwhelming and isolating, affecting your everyday life in ways others might not see.

Many clients tell me they feel trapped or frustrated, knowing their fear doesn’t make sense logically, but still feeling powerless to change it.

I use gentle, effective therapies like Trauma Eye Movement Therapy (IEMT), OldPain2Go, and Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP) to reduce or remove the phobia without needing to relive distressing experiences. The goal is to calm your body’s reaction and rewire how your mind responds, so the fear no longer controls your life.

You deserve to feel free again, and I’m here to help you take that first step.
